Spectrum Pest Management is a locally owned, family-operated company serving Olympia, Tumwater, Lacey and the surrounding Thurston County area. Since opening in 2022, we’ve kept our focus simple: do honest work, treat people well, and help everyone feel safe and comfortable in their own space.
Our company was started by Ronnie and Rachel in September of 2022 after both stepped away from full-time jobs to build something of their own. Like many small businesses, it started with a desire for more flexibility and more time with family.
As a small, hands-on team, communication matters to us. When you work with Spectrum, you’re working directly with the people doing the job. We’re not a large operation with layers of staff and a corporate headquarters in some other state. You’ll get to know us, and we’ll get to know you and the best ways to protect your living space.
Our approach is thorough and practical, with an emphasis on education. We take the time to explain what’s going on, what we’re seeing, and what steps make sense moving forward.

Rachel’s background is in early childhood education, and she now also works as a tattoo artist and owner of Red Pup Tattoo in Lacey. Behind the scenes, she handles much of the business administration. She also steps in on larger crawlspace and repair projects, bringing her carpentry skills to the job when needed.
Rachel enjoys artwork of all kinds, spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and fishing, and learning about eco-friendly building practices. One day, she hopes to sail the world.

Ronnie has been a licensed pest control technician since 2018. After moving to Olympia from the Mount Vernon area, he found his way into the pest control field and spent several years working with a well-established company in Tacoma, where he built a strong reputation for his work in the field.
Ronnie is a Western Washington University grad, with a background in geology and archaeology which gives him a thoughtful, problem-solving approach to pest control. Outside of work, Ronnie enjoys watching Star Trek, collecting antiques and gems, playing video games with his kids, and listening to NPR.

Kimi has been part of Spectrum Pest Management since the beginning, helping with early marketing efforts and gradually taking on a larger role. In 2024, she stepped into managing our scheduling and invoicing full time. In short, she keeps day-to-day operations running smoothly. Her background includes work as a veterinary assistant, receptionist, and line cook, giving her a well-rounded, people-first perspective.
Outside of work, Kimi enjoys spending time with her kids, reading, cooking, gardening, and taking care of her chickens.
